Medium Oak Aunt Sukeys Choice Lazy Susan, Bottom
This is the bottom of my “Medium Aunt Sukeys Choice Oak” Lazy Susan. The pattern on this lazy susan is the “Aunt Sukeys Choice” quilt pattern. 2 diamonds are on each corner. They form a star when 4 of the patterns come together. Out from the center I have 4 half size patterns, there are twice as many pieces as would normally be in that area, 48 pieces here I would normally have 24 pieces
The measurements are 15” across, 15 ½” diagonal, 16 ½”” tip to tip, and 2” high. There are 532 pieces in the overlay, 192 diamonds and 340 triangles. 192 of those pieces are half size pieces
This lazy susan has 5 kinds of wood, all the natural colors. The type of wood is listed on the bottom from the center out. On this lazy susan the wood is "Satinwood" from South America, "Walnut" from Missouri, "Wenge" from West Africa, "Purpleheart" from Central or South America, and “Oak” from Missouri.
The pattern is based on the “Aunt Sukeys Choice” quilt pattern. The design extends over the edge to within ¼” of the table top it sits on. The stationary base is hidden on the inside, behind the edge.
On the bottom I signed it, listed the wood, and dated it. After the date the words “Foot Cut” let you know I made it on my foot powered table saw.
