Chess Board, Walnut-Wenge, Hackberry-Maple
This chess board is 17” square. Each square is just over 2” and is made using 8 triangles. Two types of wood are in each square. Four kinds of wood are on the chess board. The dark square has “Walnut” from Missouri, and “Wenge” from West Africa. The light square has “Hackberry” and “Maple” from Missouri. There are 612 pieces in the over lay.
This gives a completely different look to a chess board. When not being used to play chess, it’s made to hang on the wall from one corner. They make a very beautiful wall hanging.
