Another Look At the Bend.
When we have a high wind I hear a clang from the windmill every once-in-a-while. Yesterday the wind was very high and the windmill sounded like it was trying to cut through the pipe that was holding it up. It was trying to send the top of the pipe all over the place; it was getting to be so off balanced. This morning before the wind came back up I had Galen help me lower it down so I could see the extent of the damage. Two of the blades are very bent and two of the hob flanges are bent back. Each of the five blades has a crack started at the first bolt from the tip of the blade. I won’t want them flying off somewhere so they won’t go back on. There is too much flex in them to be hitting the pipe in a high wind.
