Kathy's Sewing Cabinet, 2007
After making Marks Tool Chest I spent the next year making smaller boxes and maybe even seeing what I could do with a chessboard. In the fall of 1982 I started this Sewing Chest for my wife, Kathy. I got it finished up in the spring of 1983. I used Elm, Ash, Apple, Honduras Rosewood and Walnut on it by then I was into buying some of the exotic wood I could come across. The native wood I was cutting down myself. When the chest is fully open on both sides it is four and a half feet long and of course Kathy still has it.
