Lesson #1 on Cutting a Thorn Tree
Pick your nice thorn tree, you will find they like to grow in clumps. You will want to fall them all in one direction, so most of the thorns will be in one area. The two on the right here will fall to the right, the middle one may hang up some on the left one, but a nudge should send it on its way if it does. You always notch them and leave a hinge uncut so they have to fall the way you want them to. The tree on the left you will have to pull over. Put a chain and cable on it to a truck, notch and cut it part way, then drive off at an angle. It will fall where you dropped the other two if you left the hinge right. Do this one tree at a time, trimming the brush off, blocking it up, getting the thorns off each piece and tossing them out of the way.
